Option 1 – Full Expedition (Rwenzori Trek + Safari + Gorilla Trek)

Includes the full experience including the Rwenzori Mountain trek to Weismann’s Peak (4,620m).
Option 2 – Safari & Gorilla Experience (No Mountain Trek)
£1,600
Perfect for those who want the wildlife, gorillas and cultural experience without the multi-day mountain trek.
Spaces are very limited so a non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
The full balance will be required 8 weeks before departure.

Charity Fundraising
Each participant will commit to raising:
£1,000 for Joy for Humanity

Keegan has previously worked with this charity and will be taking the group to visit their projects during the trip.
Fundraising support and ideas will be provided.
Rwenzori Mountain Trek
For those taking the Full Expedition option, we will trek into the incredible Rwenzori Mountains — one of Africa’s most unique and wild mountain ranges.
Highlights include:
• Afro-alpine landscapes
• Giant lobelia forests
• Waterfalls and glaciers
• Summit of Weismann’s Peak – 4,620m
• Stunning views of Mt Stanley and the Rwenzori range
This is a true expedition-style trek, supported by local guides and porters.
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
One of the most powerful wildlife experiences on Earth.
We will trek into the dense jungle of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to encounter wild mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
Permits are included and normally cost $800 alone, making this an incredibly valuable part of the trip.
Expect an emotional and unforgettable experience.
Queen Elizabeth Safari
We’ll explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its wildlife and tree-climbing lions.
Safari highlights include:
• Lions
• Elephants
• Buffalo
• Leopards
• Antelope
• Incredible birdlife
An early morning game drive gives the best chance to see wildlife.
Community Experience – Masaka
We will spend time visiting projects run by Joy for Humanity, learning about their work supporting local communities.
Activities include:

• Cultural exchange
• Seeing where fundraising makes an impact
This is often the most meaningful part of the entire trip.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to Kasese.
Day 2
Begin trekking into the Rwenzori Mountains.
Day 3
Trek through bamboo forest and giant heather zones.
Day 4
Climb higher into the alpine zone reaching Bugata Camp (4,100m).
Day 5
Summit Weismann’s Peak – 4,620m.
Day 6
Descend through the Nyamwamba Valley.
Day 7
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and safari.
Day 8
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest.
Day 9–10
Community projects with Joy for Humanity in Masaka.
Day 11
Return to Kampala / Entebbe Airport.

Expedition Training & Preparation Included
As part of the Full Expedition Option, all participants will receive structured training and preparation support before the trip to help ensure everyone arrives ready for the adventure.
This includes:
Guided Training Hikes in the UK
Participants will be invited to join selected USVE training hikes in the months leading up to the expedition. These hikes are designed to build endurance, test kit, and prepare for the physical demands of trekking in the Rwenzori Mountains.
Online Coaching & Preparation
You will also receive online coaching support, including guidance on:
- Trek-specific fitness training
- Strength and endurance preparation
- Hiking conditioning
- Recommended gear and equipment
- Expedition preparation advice
This preparation is designed to help you arrive confident, capable, and ready to fully enjoy the experience.
The Uganda expedition is a challenging but incredibly rewarding adventure, and this training support ensures everyone has the opportunity to prepare properly before departure.
