1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the USVE website and your booking of any activities, events, expeditions, products or services offered by USVE Ltd ("USVE", "we", "our" or "us").
By using our website or booking an event with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or book any activities.

USVE Ltd is a UK adventure company providing guided hikes, outdoor experiences, mountaineering adventures, camping weekends, training events and international expeditions.

3. Booking with USVE
A booking is confirmed once:
- Your booking has been accepted.
- Any required deposit or payment has been received.
- You receive your booking confirmation.
Some adventures may require additional documentation before your place is confirmed, including medical declarations, emergency contact details or fitness questionnaires.
4. Participant Responsibilities
By booking with USVE you confirm that:
- The information you provide is accurate.
- You will follow the instructions of USVE staff, guides and expedition leaders.
- You understand outdoor activities involve inherent risks.
- You accept responsibility for your own actions during the activity.
- You will treat fellow participants, guides and local communities with respect.
USVE reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour places themselves, other participants, guides or members of the public at risk.
No refund will be provided where removal is necessary due to inappropriate or unsafe behaviour.
5. Fitness Requirements
Many USVE activities involve strenuous physical activity.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically capable of participating in the activity you have booked.
If you are unsure whether an activity is suitable, please contact us before booking.
Failure to meet the required fitness level may result in you being unable to complete the activity, and refunds will not be provided in these circumstances.
6. Medical Conditions
Participants must disclose any medical conditions, injuries or health concerns that may affect their ability to safely participate.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Heart conditions
- Respiratory conditions
- Epilepsy
- Severe allergies
- Diabetes
- Recent surgery
- Pregnancy
- Mental health conditions that may affect participation
- Any condition requiring emergency medication
Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in removal from the activity if we believe participation presents an unacceptable safety risk.
7. Equipment
Participants are responsible for bringing the equipment listed on the event kit list.
Equipment requirements may include:
- Suitable footwear
- Waterproof clothing
- Warm layers
- Food and water
- Safety equipment
- Camping equipment
- Mountaineering equipment where required
USVE reserves the right to refuse participation if a participant arrives without essential equipment and their safety or the safety of others may be compromised.
8. Guide Decisions
Safety is always our highest priority.
Our guides, instructors and expedition leaders have the final decision regarding:
- Route selection
- Pace
- Weather-related changes
- Turning participants around
- Cancelling or shortening activities
- Emergency procedures
These decisions are made in the interests of participant safety and cannot be challenged during the event.
9. Weather & Route Changes
Outdoor environments are unpredictable.
USVE may alter:
- Routes
- Timings
- Accommodation
- Meeting locations
- Activities
- Itineraries
due to:
- Weather
- Safety concerns
- Trail closures
- Natural hazards
- Local restrictions
- Operational requirements
Where reasonably possible, suitable alternatives will be provided.
10. International Expeditions
For overseas adventures, participants are responsible for ensuring they have:
- A valid passport
- Any required visas
- Appropriate vaccinations where recommended or required
- Comprehensive travel insurance that covers the specific activity
- Emergency medical and evacuation cover where required
- Any necessary travel documentation
USVE cannot accept responsibility for participants who are unable to travel due to missing documentation.
11. Third-Party Travel & Expedition Partners
USVE organises, promotes and coordinates a range of outdoor experiences, including guided hikes, weekend adventures, mountaineering trips and international expeditions.
For certain adventures, all or part of the travel services may be provided by carefully selected third-party providers, including licensed tour operators, mountain guiding companies, local destination management companies, accommodation providers, transport providers and other specialist adventure operators.
Where a third-party provider is responsible for delivering any part of your booking:
- USVE acts as the organiser, coordinator and community host unless otherwise stated.
- The third-party provider is responsible for delivering the travel services they supply, including guiding, accommodation, transport, permits or other arrangements within their control.
- Participants may be required to accept additional booking conditions, waivers or participation agreements issued by the relevant provider before travel.
- Any safety instructions, operational decisions or itinerary changes made by the appointed guides or local operators must be followed at all times.
- Certain payments may be subject to the booking, amendment and cancellation terms of the third-party provider where these apply.
- USVE will always make reasonable efforts to work with trusted and reputable partners; however, we are not responsible for the acts, omissions or services of independent third-party providers beyond our legal obligations.
Where a package holiday or travel service is supplied by a licensed tour operator, that operator will remain legally responsible for the travel services they provide in accordance with applicable travel regulations.
If there is any conflict between these Terms & Conditions and the legally required booking conditions of a third-party provider, the provider's terms will take precedence only in relation to the travel services they supply.
USVE will always make it clear within the trip information or booking confirmation when an adventure is being delivered in partnership with a third-party provider.
12. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all UK activities and mandatory for all international expeditions unless otherwise stated.
Your insurance should provide cover appropriate for the activity you are undertaking, including mountaineering, trekking or high-altitude travel where applicable.
13. Photography & Media
USVE regularly captures photographs and video during events.
These may be used for:
- Social media
- Website content
- Promotional material
- Future marketing
- Printed publications
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please notify us before the activity begins.
14. Intellectual Property
All content published by USVE, including logos, branding, photography, videos, written content and graphics, remains the property of USVE unless otherwise stated.
Content may not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission.
15. Website Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse our website.
- Attempt unauthorised access to our systems.
- Introduce malicious software.
- Use our content unlawfully.
- Interfere with the operation of the website.
16. Liability
Outdoor activities involve inherent risks.
While USVE takes reasonable steps to provide safe, professionally organised experiences, participation is entirely voluntary.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
Subject to applicable law, USVE will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in our activities or use of our website.

17. Force Majeure
USVE shall not be liable for cancellations, delays or changes caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Extreme weather
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Industrial action
- Political unrest
- Public health emergencies
- Acts of terrorism
- Transport disruption
- Closure of trails, mountains or national parks
Where possible, we will offer suitable alternatives or rearrange the activity.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will always be published on our website.
19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
