Travel Operator Disclosure

1. Introduction

USVE Ltd ("USVE", "we", "our" or "us") organises outdoor adventures, guided hikes, mountaineering experiences and international expeditions.

Some of these experiences are delivered entirely by USVE, while others are delivered in partnership with carefully selected third-party travel providers, licensed tour operators, mountain guiding companies and local specialists.

This page explains the role of USVE and our travel partners.

2. Adventures Operated Directly by USVE

For many of our UK activities, including day hikes, training walks, camping weekends and community events, USVE is responsible for organising and delivering the experience.

This includes planning routes, coordinating logistics, providing event information and leading the activity where appropriate.

3. Adventures Delivered with Travel Partners

For certain UK and international adventures, USVE works with experienced third-party providers who deliver specialist services.

These partners may provide:

  • Mountain guiding
  • Expedition leadership
  • Accommodation
  • Local transport
  • Airport transfers
  • Permits and entry fees
  • Cultural experiences
  • Adventure activities
  • Local logistical support

Each partner is selected based on their experience, safety standards and local knowledge.

4. Our Role

Unless otherwise stated, USVE acts as:

  • The organiser of the community experience
  • Your primary point of contact before departure
  • Trip coordinator
  • Booking administrator
  • Participant support team
  • Community host throughout the experience where applicable

We aim to make every adventure seamless from your first enquiry until you return home.

5. The Role of Our Travel Partners

Where a third-party provider delivers part or all of an adventure, they are responsible for the services within their control.

Depending on the expedition, this may include:

  • Guiding services
  • Local safety management
  • Accommodation arrangements
  • Transport
  • Permit administration
  • Local staffing
  • Operational decisions
  • Itinerary adjustments required for safety or local conditions

Participants must follow all reasonable instructions given by local guides, mountain leaders and partner staff throughout the trip.

6. Booking Conditions

Some partner-operated adventures are subject to additional booking conditions or participation agreements issued by the travel provider.

Where applicable, these will be provided before travel and form part of your booking.

By participating, you agree to comply with any reasonable requirements issued by both USVE and the relevant travel provider.

7. Changes to an Adventure

Outdoor adventures can be affected by circumstances outside anyone's control.

Routes, accommodation, transport, guiding arrangements or itineraries may need to change due to:

  • Weather
  • Safety considerations
  • Natural hazards
  • Local regulations
  • Government advice
  • Trail or mountain closures
  • Operational requirements

Where possible, suitable alternatives will always be arranged.

8. Payments

Unless otherwise stated, payments are made directly to USVE.

USVE will then manage payments to the relevant travel providers as part of organising your adventure.

For certain expeditions, separate payment arrangements may apply. If this is the case, these will be clearly explained before booking.

9. Our Commitment

We only work with providers that we believe meet the standards expected by the USVE community.

Before working with a partner, we consider factors including:

  • Professional qualifications
  • Safety procedures
  • Experience
  • Reputation
  • Local knowledge
  • Appropriate licensing where required

Although we carefully select our partners, each independent provider remains responsible for delivering the services under their control.

10. Questions Before Booking

We believe in being transparent about how every adventure is organised.

If you have any questions about who is delivering a particular trip, what is included, or how a booking is structured, we encourage you to contact us before making a reservation.

We'll always be happy to explain how an adventure is organised and answer any questions you may have.
