The Plan...

Start your year outdoors with one of London's most iconic walks.

We'll explore the beautiful woodlands, open heathland, hidden ponds and panoramic viewpoints that make Hampstead Heath one of the capital's favourite green spaces. Along the way we'll take plenty of breaks to chat, enjoy the scenery and, of course, stop for photos overlooking the London skyline.

Whether you're coming alone or with friends, these hikes are all about meeting great people, getting outside and starting the weekend in the best way possible.

Meeting Point

📍 Meet at The Hut by The Heath

🥾 Hike Starts: 10:15am

The Hut by The Heath is a small coffee kiosk right beside the Parliament Hill Lido entrance, making it an easy landmark to find. If you arrive early, grab a coffee before we head off. The nearest Overground station is Gospel Oak, around a 3-minute walk away, and there is also a pay-and-display car park at the Lido for those driving.

Recommended For: Beginners through to regular hikers.

The route includes a few steady climbs and uneven woodland paths but is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Expect some muddy sections if the weather has been wet.

By Train

Gospel Oak Station is just a short walk from our meeting point.

By Car

There is limited paid parking around Hampstead Heath. Public transport is recommended where possible.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, provided they are kept under control and owners clean up after them.
